I am an operations oriented manager with a strong fiscal, risk and project management orientation.

Knowledgeable in multiple risk management disciplines and enterprise risk management frameworks, I bring additional depth in business development, governance, project management and process redesign across multiple industries.  You can read more detail about me here and see how I present myself on LinkedIn here.

My goal is to help organizations meet their objectives with an an eye towards managing risk in a general management, internal audit, operations, project or risk management type role on a full time or contract basis. I am also interested in helping consulting firms achieve the same goals for their clients.

Here are recent testimonials from organizations I have supported on both paid and pro-bono consultation engagements: Dufferin County Community Services, Orangeville Food Bank.

“Feedback here has been very positive. You facilitated in a way that made a difficult subject matter easy to follow and even funny at times.  Staff liked how you got right down to business on the topic and that you provided an example at each stage to apply the knowledge in a practical way. The legislative and project examples provided a great opportunity for staff to apply the information and will most definitely assist the teams in the months ahead as we delve into the work of the project.” Project Coordinator, Dufferin County.

“Charles has brought his strong operational, fiscal and risk management skills to the Orangeville Food Bank.  He led us in a risk assessment exercise that increased risk awareness amongst board members, senior staff and senior volunteers to the extent that we are identifying, recording and resolving risks on our own. The Board now has improved governance of risk for the organization. Charles recently stepped in as our Treasurer, tightened our internal controls, improved our budget and reporting processes, and prepared us to diversify our income streams.  I would recommend Charles in a senior operations, finance or risk management capacity.”  Lori Ker, President, Orangeville Food Bank.

From a consulting perspective, I am connected to a wide array of partners who can supplement my skillset in the event more breadth or depth is required.  A listing of some of them can be found here.

Active in the community, I am on the Treasurer of the Orangeville Food Bank, Chairperson of Orangeville Ribfest, an active member of the Rotary Club of Orangeville and a member of the Dufferin Board of Trade.
